Governor Schwarzenegger Announces Appointments

Schwarzenegger today announced the following
appointments:
Lucetta Dunn, 55, of Coto de Caza, has been appointed to
the California Transportation Commission. Since 2005, she has served as
president and chief executive officer for the Orange County Business Council.
From 2004 to 2005, Dunn served as director for the Department of Housing and
Community Development. From 1998 to 2004, she was executive vice president for
Hearthside Homes and, from 1992 to 1998, she worked for the Koll Company and
Koll Real Estate Group as senior vice president. From 1987 to 1992, Dunn worked
as senior vice president, general counsel and as a member of the board at Signal
Landmark. From 1981 to 1987, she maintained her own private practice of law,
the Law Offices of Lucetta A. Dunn. Dunn is a founding member of the Bolsa Chica Conservancy
and the Foundation for Economic and Enviromental
Progress. She is former vice president of the
California Building Industry Association, former director of the National
Association of Home Builders and a former member of the Urban Land
Institute. This position requires Senate confirmation and the
compensation is $100 per diem. Dunn is a Republican.
Augustin
R. Jimenez, 55, of Carmichael, has been
appointed deputy secretary and general counsel for the Business, Transportation
and Housing Agency. Since 1999, he has served as special counsel to the
secretary for the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency. Prior to that,
Jimenez worked for the law firm Barbosa Garcia, formerly Barbosa Garcia &
Barnes, as a partner from 1997 to 1999 and a senior associate from 1992 to
1997. From 1989 to 1991, he served as legislative analyst in the Office of the
Chief Legislative Analyst for the city of Los Angeles. Jimenez worked for the city of
Seattle as an
assistant city attorney from 1981 to 1987 and as a policy analyst from 1980 to
1981. He is a member of the Honorable Anthony M. Kennedy American Inns of
Court. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation
is $136,342. Jimenez is a Democrat.
Jeff Rodzen, 33, of Loomis, has been appointed to the
California Crime Laboratory Review Task Force. Since 2004, he has worked for
the California Department of Fish and Game as a senior wildlife forensic
specialist since 2006. Rodzen previously served as a wildlife
forensic specialist for the law enforcement division from 2004 to 2006. From
2001 to 2004, he served as a post
doctoral researcher in the Department of Animal Science
at the University of
California, Davis. In 2001, Rodzen
worked as an intern at the California Department of Justice, Berkeley DNA
Laboratory. He is also an active member of the California Association of
Criminalists. This position
does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary. Rodzen is a
Republican
Lee Seale, 36, of Sacramento, has been
appointed deputy chief of staff for the Department of Corrections and
Rehabilitation. Since 2006, he has served as special assistant inspector general
of the Bureau of Independent Review in the Office of the Inspector General. From
2001 to 2006, Seale served as a deputy attorney general in the criminal division
for the California Attorney General's Office. Additionally, he has worked as a
legal instructor for the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training
since 2001. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the
compensation is $141,720. Seale is a Democrat.
Patrick Tami, 46, of Roseville, has been appointed to the Board for
Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. He has served on the Board for
Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors since 2006. Since 1995, Tami has
worked as vice president and senior associate of the surveying and mapping
department for RBF Consulting
in Sacramento.
In 1995, Tami was the survey project manager for the engineering firms Santina
and Thompson, Geotopo, Incorporated, Grenier and Steadman and Associates. Prior
to that, he served as survey manager for Santina and Thompson from 1993 to 1995
and, from 1992 to 1993, he was a field survey manager for Geotopo,
Incorporated. From 1986 to 1992, Tami worked as a survey manager for Stedman and Associates. Since
1987, he has been a licensed land surveyor in California and is a member of the California
Land Surveyors Association. This position does not require Senate confirmation
and the compensation is $100 per diem. Tami is a Republican
Charlotte
Wacker, 29, of Sacramento, has been appointed to the Crime
Laboratory Review Task Force. She has worked for the Body Donation Program at
the University of California, Davis where she has served as director since
2005 and previously held the position of assistant director from 2001 to 2005.
From 2003 to 2004, Wacker worked as an intern autopsy assistant for the
Sacramento County Coroner's Office. She has served as a lab instructor and
teaching assistant at the University of California, Davis since 2001. This position
does not require Senate confirmation and there is no salary. Wacker is a
Democrat.
