Governor Schwarzenegger Appoints Two Judges to Ventura County Superior Court
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointments of Kevin G. DeNoce and David R. Worley to judgeships in the Ventura County Superior Court.
DeNoce, 47, of Ventura, has served as a commissioner for the Ventura County Superior Court since 2007. Prior to that, he was a sole practitioner from 2003 to 2007. From 1996 to 2003, DeNoce was a partner in the Law Offices of Andrade & DeNoce, LLP and, from 1987 to 1996, served as deputy district attorney and then senior deputy district attorney for the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Herbert Curtis. DeNoce is a Democrat.
Worley, 53, of Camarillo, has served as a commissioner for the Ventura County Superior Court since 2007. Prior to that, he was a partner in the law firm Wojkowski & Worley, LLP from 2002 to 2007. From 1990 to 2002, Worley was partner in Arnold, Back, Mayfield, Mathews, Wojkowski & Zirbel and, from 1984 to 1990, was an associate and then partner in the law firm Nordman, Cormany, Hair & Compton. From 1981 to 1984, he served as a deputy district attorney for the Ventura County District Attorney's Office. Worley earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Bakersfield. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Thomas Hutchins. Worley is a Republican.
The compensation for each position is $178,789.
