Gov. Schwarzenegger Congratulates United Spiral Pipe Company for Building Plant in Pittsburg, CA
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today applauded the United Spiral Pipe Company for choosing Pittsburg, California, as the site for its new pipe manufacturing plant. The company is a joint venture by U.S. Steel, South Korean steelmaker POSCO and South Korean tube products maker SeAH. Once this new plant is complete in 2008, it will produce large-diameter steel pipes.
"This is more good news for California's economy because this project represents a $93 million investment and the creation of up to 175 well-paying jobs," said Governor Schwarzenegger. "I want to encourage even more businesses to invest in California and take advantage of our great location, friendly business climate and highly-qualified workforce."
