Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the establishment of a Local Assistance Center to help victims of the BTU Complex fires. The center, located at the Oroville Municipal Auditorium, will provide state and local services to assist those who have been displaced by the wildfire, suffering property loss and economic and other damages.

"On behalf of all Californians, my thoughts are with those who have suffered personal losses as a result of the BTU Complex fires. This assistance center will provide important services to help families recover and get their lives back on track," Governor Schwarzenegger said.

The center, located at the Oroville Municipal Auditorium, 1200 Myers Street, Oroville, CA, will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 and Friday July 25. Representatives from the Department of Insurance, Department of Motor Vehicles, Board of Equalization, Contractors State License Board, California Department of Veterans Affairs, Employment Development Department and local non-profit organizations will be at the center to provide information on services available to help those impacted by the BTU Complex fires.
