Governor Brown Issues Legislative Update
SACRAMENTO Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. announced today that he has signed the following bills:
AB 12 by Assemblymember Sandre Swanson (D-Oakland) Abolition of Child Commerce, Exploitation, and Sexual Slavery Act of 2011.
AB 588 by Assemblymember Manuel Pιrez (D-Cathedral City) Tenancy: victims of domestic violence.
AB 886 by Assemblymember Paul Cook (R-Yucaipa) Victim's rights: victim impact statement.
AB 1067 by Assemblymember Alyson Huber (D-El Dorado Hills) Civil procedure: orders.
SB 180 by Senator Ellen Corbett (D-San Leandro) Consumer transactions: public social services: unreasonable fees.
SB 445 by Senator Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto) California Public Records Act: library records.
The Governor also announced that he has vetoed the following bills:
AB 1281 by Assemblymember Martin Garrick (R-Carlsbad) Parole hearings: audioconferencing. A veto message can be found here.
