Gov. Schwarzenegger Appoints Michael Begert to San Francisco County Superior Court
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced the appointment of Michael I. Begert to a judgeship in the San Francisco County Superior Court.
Begert, 47, of Piedmont, has been a partner for Bingham McCutchen since 2002. Previously, he was an associate, then partner, for McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen from 1989 to 2002. Begert earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Washington, Seattle. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Donna J. Hitchens. Begert is a Democrat.
The compensation for this position is $178,789.
