Schwarzenegger Administration, Financial and Education Experts Hold Interactive Web Discussion on Possible Lease of California's Lottery
On May 16, 2007 the Governor's Office held a live, interactive video web discussion to address the Governor's plan to create a public/private partnership to manage California's State Lottery to increase funding for education and other state programs (transcript).
Members of the public submitted questions discussing the future management of the Lottery and increasing revenues to bring more funding to California.
The panelists included:
- David Crane, Special Advisor to Governor Schwarzenegger on Jobs and the Economy
- Fred Klass, Chief Operating Officer, Department of Finance
- Timothy Romer, Managing Director, Goldman Sachs
- Bob Wells, Executive Director, Association of California School Administrators
